Oscar Robert (Bob) Sandeen, 7 years younger than Carl Everett, saw service in Europe as an Army officer. He met Kay Byars, his wife, while in training in Arkansas, and they got married before he went overseas, in 1943. Kay still lives in Hudson, as do her daughters, Meme and Lyn. Bob died in 1995.
