The morning she (Anna Pearl Hammel) died, I went downstairs looking for my breakfast and lo and behold, Mrs. Deck was sitting on the toilet. It was a little bathroom next to the kitchen - similar to the setup on Pontiac street where you (Melinda) regularly dined on the potty.

That's the place I remember. The upstairs half of a house next door to the firestation. Fabulous place for a granddaughter. The guys at the fire station let me play there sometimes. Gmother died (you must have the date) .....maybe '44. ??? Then sometime (no memory) he moved to the Fowler Hotel where his barbershop was. Lived there for quite a while until he moved to Comfort. ... a few blocks away.
